My name is Bri, and I am the mother of two beautiful daughters, Leora and Hayden.
Throughout my parenting journey, I have unraveled and awakened to the absurdity that we have been fed regarding how to raise, nourish, and educate our children. I've learned that if we want our children to thrive and be well, we must step away from the systems in place and begin to reconnect to that motherly wisdom within, stepping back into our roots while cultivating a whole new way of living life and leading our children.
I have been unschooling my mind for the past 5 years and guiding my girls along the way, we have paved our path and continue to evolve and conquer the unknown, together.
I'm here to guide my girls into trusting their innate wisdom, and to foster a connection and respect to the land and all that flourishes from it. I don't wish for my girls to follow suit of what is prescribed I hope they run in the opposite direction, and that is what has led on this entrepreneurial journey.
The world is shifting, old ways of living are falling apart so new ones can be created. The way we approach our health, the way we nourish our bodies and minds, and how we educate and raise our children are all altering, and as a graduate of the public school system, a previous healthcare nurse, and a mother who watched her child's health fail for three years, I'm so ready for this shift.
As a mother, getting my girls outside and immersed in nature has always been important to me, for I understand the benefits of being outdoors, and have witnessed the ways it can calm an anxious mind, provide for busy hands, and bring the heart back into peace.
For years, my girls and I have been experimenting with making potions and crafting with nature, we've made medicines that have cleared skin issues, relieved coughs, soothed itches, and nourished our bodies to stay healthy during the winter months, and now we are here making tallow lotion!
What started as a curious experiment, has turned into an entrepreneurial experience. Both of my girls have expressed interest in running their own businesses when they get older, and instead of consuming all things about entrepreneurship through textbooks, I thought, why not start a small business with something we all three enjoy doing, learning as we go, and gaining hands-on experience of all the parts!
The richest education we can offer our children is getting them engaged in real-life opportunities for I believe this gives them a deeper understanding of how things work, helping them move through trial and error and strengthening confidence in their abilities.
